Responsible AI at WingBook™
AI should remove busywork, not responsibility.
WingBook™ uses artificial intelligence to help childcare providers spend less time on repetitive administration and more time running their programs.
AI may assist with:
- reading records;
- extracting information;
- reviewing immunization documents;
- organizing health information;
- identifying potentially incomplete records;
- creating administrative summaries;
- supporting mock inspections;
- assisting with observations and progress reports; and
- improving administrative workflows.
Humans remain responsible
AI-generated or AI-extracted information may contain mistakes.
Providers should review AI-assisted output before relying on it.
WingBook™ AI does not independently:
- approve or deny enrollment;
- diagnose a child;
- prescribe treatment;
- decide whether a child is medically safe to attend;
- determine whether a childcare provider is legally compliant;
- issue a childcare license;
- conduct an official state inspection; or
- replace professional medical, developmental, legal, or regulatory judgment.
Customer Data is not opted into public model training
WingBook™ currently uses OpenAI APIs for certain AI functions.
WingBook™ does not opt Customer Data into use for training or improving OpenAI's general-purpose models.
Depending on the API and data-control settings in use, OpenAI may temporarily retain certain API information for security, abuse monitoring, or service operations.
We minimize what is sent
WingBook™'s goal is to transmit only information reasonably necessary for the AI feature the user requests.
Sensitive information should not be sent to an AI system where the requested feature can reasonably be performed without it.
AI is not advertising technology
WingBook™ does not use identifiable child health records, developmental records, classroom observations, or similar sensitive child information to generate targeted advertising.
AI providers may change
WingBook™ may add or replace AI providers as the platform develops.
Material AI providers processing Customer Personal Data will be disclosed through WingBook™'s Subprocessor process.
We expect providers to review results
WingBook™ is designed to assist childcare professionals, not replace them.
Final responsibility for:
- child safety;
- licensing compliance;
- health decisions;
- developmental concerns;
- childcare decisions; and
- regulatory decisions
remains with the childcare provider and appropriate qualified professionals.
